Annual Church Business Meeting: Wednesday, August 29, 7pm

YOUTH TRIP: Grades 7-12 will be traveling to NC on Sept. 8-9 for ziplining & rafting on the Nantahala River. Please contact Lori Crisp for more information.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES NEEDED: Due to no Community Backpack Give-Away this year, the Family Involvement Committee at Wise Primary is requesting school supply donations from area churches. Our Missions Committee is asking that we donate notebook paper, pencils, large pink erasers and small eraser toppers. Donated items may be place in a box in the hallway near the choir room or given to Debbie Collins by August 29.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL!: SAVE THE DATE! August 26, 4pm - Church-Wide Ice Cream Social in the Fellowship Hall.

Quilting Groups: PIECEMAKERS will meet this summer on Aug. 20. CARING FRIENDS will begin meeting again on Sept. 10.

Wednesday Evening Activites: Join us each Wednesday night for fellowship, food & Bible study! Our Fellowship Meal ($6/adults, $5/children) begins at 6pm, followed by small group Bible studies at 7pm, Children in Action at 7pm and choir rehearsal at 7:50pm.

ITEM OF THE MONTH for Operation Christmas Child : Each month there will be boxes available in the church foyer & in the hall to collect items for shoeboxes all through the year. The item for the month of AUGUST is clothing items.

HOLY COMMUNION: We will observe Holy Communion on Sunday, September 2 during our 11am service.

DEACONS' MEETING: Sunday, September 2 at 8:30am

CHILDREN IN ACTION: Children Grades K-6, join us for our Wednesday night missions program at 7pm each week!

Sunday School: We encourage you to get involved in Sunday School at 10am on Sunday mornings. There are classes for all ages. This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your faith and to connect with others in a more personal way.

Church Library: Be sure to visit our Church Library. There are many ready available resources at your disposal. We have Christian fiction, novels, devotionals, Bible translations and much more.

Let's Help-Grab N Go Ministry: Food items are needed for the Department of Social Services Adult Protective Services. The food items help bridge the gap at the end of the month. Food items needed are: Crackers, peanut butter, vienna sausage, beanie weenies, pork n beans, canned vegetables/fruit, pudding cups, jello, granola bars, pop tarts, powdered milk, instant potatoes, oatmeal/cereal, soups/chili/beef stew, canned meats, coffee/juice/soda, mac n cheese(with liquid cheese), canned pasta, ramen noodles, spaghetti noodles/sauce, oil, pancake mix/syrup, rice, ensure, dried fruits, chips, any other non-perishable items. Other items such as: lotions, soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, razors, toothbrush/paste, denture cleaner/paste, brush/comb, socks, wash clothes, towels, dish towels, pot holders, gloves, scarves, knit hats, puzzle books, ink pens, note pads, toilet paper, dish liquid, laundry detergent, trash bags, throws/fleece blankets. Our church has made this ministry, Grab N Go, our year round mission. These items can be placed in the white baskets in the hall year round.
